mbm brake kit issues
« on: July 31, 2013 - 11:11:36 PM »
ok..mbm complete brake kit on my 72 cuda..have it all together..bled it out..drove it tonite..1st issue was I thought the front brakes were dragging..it appears I need a spring to bring the pedal back up about a 1/4 inch and it then releases the front brakes..sooo then I lock them up to see how it will stop under heavy braking..locks up the rears..car seems to stop ok under normal braking...the fronts are working...so I will call them tomm. but was wondering if anyone else has used this setup and experienced these symptoms....this kit includes it all..new m/c, booster, spindles, calipers, hoses, proportioning valve (brass not adjustable)...I talked to one guy tonite and he said re-bleed the fronts?..which we might try just because?..i will talk to mbm tomm. first..any ideas/input?..thanks in advance

Same issues here too.  That crap has put me through hell!  I called the company to take this crap back and they agreed.  My issues.  Dragging brakes, dirty/cloudy brake fluid, and now the caliper is flapping around because the tinsel strength of the brake pad springs is nil so they bend eventually...the kit is a total POS!  I'm going to put OE Mopar brakes on...

i'm thinking about just returning the booster. m/c, and prop. valve..and put eom replacements back in for them...i'm really not wanting to re-do all of the spindles and such....I think the caliper springs are oem style??...so I was thinking about just getting new oem replacements...I don't think my calipers are a prob...just the upper components..any thoughts..thanks
