Buy a 1 inch recessed plug from RT specialities and drill a small hole in it for the wire.

Is this wire that goes through the firewall to the tranny sensor part of the underdash wiring harness or is it a separate harness?

It is the wire off the reverse harness that connects to the dash reverse light,connect this wire to the reverse light wire after you stick the wire from the harness back thru the firewall hole.

Can anyone tell me what the size of the hole should be for the "Reverse Light" grommet (located between the booster/master cylinder/brake assembly, and the upper-right bulkhead connector hole)?  Thanks.

Then use a digital measuring instrument to check diameter of the grommet.

I'm pretty sure I checked mine and it was 1".

Yes.  I bought the harness from Evans Wiring.  It has the grommet attached.  I figured I could measure with a digital caliper, as you suggested.  I thought maybe asking here would confirm the grommet size.  The diameter measurement I got is 0.750" (the part of the grommet that would mate with the hole).  So, I guess I'll drill a 3/4" hole.  Thanks for the feedback.

I bought the same harness from Evans Wiring.    Thanks for sending the diameter measurement read out.

Getting done this weekend before the challenger goes for replacement disk brakes.   Getting close to being on the road.  I took it for a small spin down the street and back .... without windshields (front and back).    What a buzz .....
