To answer your original question. I have used Performance Transmission. He built the automatic transmission that is behind my 472 hemi. The transmission has performed flawlessly and I pound on it occasionally. I can't speak about the swap you are talking about but as far as Bobby Alexander (the owner) goes I would say he is an upstanding guy and will stand behind his work.
