Starter relay inline fuse
« on: August 11, 2013 - 12:03:11 AM »
Hello fellow Challenger owners. Iam having a small issue that is kicking my butt. I have a 25 amp inline fuse connected to my starter relay. All of a sudden I can only start the car once, the fuse blows and the car continues to run however when I turn the car off iam unable to start it again until I replace the inline fuse. The car is a 73 Challenger 340. It seems so simple. Help

Mike

Why do you have a fuse in there?

On the stock wiring there should be a fusable link. If I remember right I think it is 30 amps. If you have a 25 amp fuse it might be too low.Especially if you have any accessories turned on when you start it.  I replaced mine with a 60 amp Maxi fuse which is much safer and more servicable.

the fusable link feeds the rest of the car not the starter relay , there should not be a fuse in there

:iagree:
Get rid of that fuse. It shouldn't be there.
