Victor Heads .... Suggestions
« on: August 15, 2013 - 10:57:26 AM »
I just pulled the trigger on a set for my 520" stroker.
Who els is running them on RB motor?  What Clarence issues are you having with push rods and solid roller lifters, what intake are you using to stay under the hood on a 70 Challenger Power bulge hood with a carb? I'm also looking at a FAST XFI multi- port system. Anyone done the FAST with them?
If someone had the distance / measurement from valley pan to underside of hood it would be really helpful too.
I'll probably go with Harland Sharp rockers...... But I'm open to suggestions.

Thoughts appreciated. She'll be a pump gas street motor 10.5    11: 1 compression
I don't suffer from insanity.
I enjoy every minute of it!

Did you read my experience with them ? Very difficult to make work , it took me hours installing the heads & checking clarance for each pushrod thought the entire range of movement x 16 . I am not sure what to suggest for rockers , we used Hughes & were told they were sorted out , to make them work I had to custom machine spacers & blocks to center the rockers over the valves, the heads are based on using an obsolete Mopar Perf rocker arm  . Not sure if they have fixed the issue but the valley tray is Junk too , only a few of the bolt holes line up with the machined holes in the heads .
Definatly NOT a bolt on a go project ,
We used the EFI Victor intake & a Accufab T body only just over 1" thick & still had to use a drop base A/C to fit , I would recommend going to a multiport injection Not a T body injection for hood clearance & better performance .
