I understand completely , the 71 is more like the E body than the early Chargers but is a different car , I had to throw that out there !
A little related story:
In early 2009 when I was in the final stages of hunting for a nice Mopar, I ended up deciding between my cuda tribute and a 71 Road Runner B body tribute. The b body was originally a satellite (and my cuda was originally a 318 Barracuda). Believe it or not they are very similar cars and share a lot of parts. The cars were both in Connecticut, about 80 miles apart, and the cuda was about $10k more, but wow I fell in love with and wanted both!
Took a "weekend vacation" trip up there to check them both out, and fortunately, the wife wouldnt let me put our retirement funds at risk
and I of course chose the cuda.
But man, I often wonder about that b body I had to turn away from. To me, an absolutely stunning and rarely seen today style. Too bad more people dont like it. Ill never understand that.
Moral of the story....flip your coin, and dont look back.
But keep lots of pictures just for the memories!
