hello all ,small problem here rebuilt the 383 in my 70 challenger ,put edelbrock rpm performer heads on ,zero decked, line bored ,30thousands over. now for some reason the hooker comp header on passenger side keeps eating the front and back spark plug boots.have wrapped the header and tried socks on plug boots. no luck     summit cant tell me what hooker header will match the head with better clearance ,  any thoughts much appreciated

TTI or Dougs , yup they are expensive but the cost adds up with header leaks & burned wires too !
 TTI is so accurate they make a different header for the low deak 383/400 & the raised deck 440

there's boots out there with different angles on them.
check Summit

you can fabricate your own wires, and have them come in from different directions, like under the headers.
Then with header wrap,and heat shields, you boots my last.
Ceramic coated headers are a lot cooler.
the boots on my 99 trans am have metal shields that slip over boot. They are like a thin walled shiney pipe
about 1 inch in diameter and 4 inches long.
