Thanks Lonewolf,  this is the info we need!  I guess that finalizes my plans to find a wreck and use the engine, drivetrain, and everything else I can use to make it work.

Not a problem. Not sure how much technical help I can supply, but I'll try an answer any questions.

Ray,

Can you provide some pictures of the install (pics of the dip stick conflict/ rear trans mount/ drive shaft)?

What kind of drive shaft did you run (a slip joint drive shaft like on Jeep)?

How about the shifter...did you install it inside of the stock center console?

What did you do for a speedo (GPS speedo or electric drive)?

Any pics and advice would be super...we promise we will pay it forward to some other guy on the forum!!!

Give me a day or two. I have pics with trans and drive shaft installed. I used the factory two piece shaft from the 07 charger as well as the rear. Pics are not the best, and are back out of the car for paint. I posted a link on here to some pics. It's in the gen III swap thread.

As far as the keyless go (push button start) from the late model car goes, I really doubt you can make that work. You need all of the harnesses connected to the network related to the anti theft, up to and including the fuse box in the engine compartment. I know Bob (twisted fish) had a hell of a time getting support on the programming for his NAG-1. The 545RFE has much less aftermarket support than the NAG-1. My vote would be for a man trans or going for a 4L80E swap. There are so many headaches swapping this stuff since chrysler isn't helpful on the programming end. Unless you keep everything stock i.e. stock computers, stock harnesses and stock internals you may find yourself heavily dependent on someone (quite possibly not local to you) for programming your stuff. I wish we had the aftermarket support the ford and gm guys have, but we don't...

70 Cuda, 7.0L Gen-III Hemi, Viper T56 w/9310 gearset, 3.91's, Megasquirt MS3x v3.57, Innovate wideband, Firm Feel upper arms, torsion bars, springs and strut rods, QA1 DA shocks. I did everything on this car except the fancy paint stuff and I drive it...and I can't seem to stop messing with it....

Just an FYI. The headers available won't work with the NAG1 as the starter is on the wrong side. But... Good news sort of..

Seems TTI has a prototype for this problem. They got a early Charger in the shop with a NAG1 and made the header. It will only work with a non torsion bar K Frame. That is what they had to work with. They want to make it work with torsion bar suspension, but are not able to get a car in for them to design on. It could have been the original posters car?? I now have to decide on using the NAG1 and changing out the k frame..... What next ???:horse:

call TTI for the info. They are very helpful and informative.
Thanks , Keith
