Do I still have factory front brake rotors on my car?
« on: September 10, 2013 - 10:15:16 AM »
Weird, I was looking at pics of my front brakes and I noticed a red paint daub on the hub, see the first pic below.

Also the nose of the hub that goes in the wheel has these swirled cuts around the hub.   A weird detail if these were aftermarket.  See second pic.

Are these factory rotors or something?  :clueless:  Just wondering.  The car has about 106k miles on it.

1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

IDK for sure but with 106K on it I'd guess they have been replaced at some point? Those swirl marks are just from manufacturing .... someone forgot to retract the lathe tool when they machined the rotor?

Hi brad.  Yeah that's what I was thinking that with that many miles they must have been replace at one point or other but weird with the paint mark and the detail in the hub.   :dunno:
