Well, you asked for it :) ..  Just kidding..

Ready your grain if salt....

I do like the shape, like many I think I understand what the effort was that went into this.

What I like..
   Shape
   Guages
   Center mount Integrated Shift light.??

What I don't like
   Color (I like black panels)
Mounting at the top. Maybe it just needs a structural molding of some type.
   Looks a bit thin
Too many exposed "joints" for lack of a better description.

Not sure how hard it would be, but if the gauges were not so recessed, they might be easier to read. Another thought, if the gauge "tubes" were pointed to the driver position instead of set back into the straight holes, in a sort of wrap around fashion, i think that'd be really cool.

All in all I give it an "A" for effort :)  :clapping:

I really like that it is one piece.  That's pretty cool !

I don't really like the top mount.  a reinforcing bar would probably take away the small bent lines I am seeing at the top.

I do have to agree with 416 about wrapping it around, kind of like in a 69 grand prix( I know, not mopar).

I like it.

I still have install top trim will be using stock piece with light in it. I was thinking about painting it a dark silver but I really like cars with body color inside so I went with that.

Thank you very much for your reply. That's what I'm looking for honest feedback. The top molding with light in it isn't installed yet.  I'll have to make the side ones. I did tilt side gauges some but after installing realized it wasn't enough.  I almost painted it dark silver but I like body color inside so I we don't with that.

Your heading the right direction.

Imho......Reinforce/cover the edges so they stay straight and the color should be darker/neutral.

Layout is nice. Things are symmetrical, so it looks balanced.

Not sure of what I think with the gauges sticking out of the flat. I tend to like recessed gauges to reduce the glare. You have a fare amount of glare and reflection on the gauge glass.

Don't care for the color, but I assume it matches your car. That's your gig. Combined with the green font on the gauges, its just too much green for me.

Agree with comments about joints and thinness.

I would trim the top off so that you could retain the factory light bar, that would finish of the forward-most edge that's right "in-your-face". You could paint it green to match.
Also find something to fill the void of the heater controls/radio areas.
I've taught you everything you know.....but I haven't taught you everything I know !

the first design  had gauges recessed as I don't like the gauges just stuck on a piece of metal , looks totally cheap imho. but after seeing them recessed I wasn't happy with that. so i started over. I still have to install upper molding with the light in it.I also am in process of designing the 2 sides trims.I'm waiting on a billet a/c heater headlight and wiper switch setup to put in the old switch area. so its about 3/4 done now. my car is viper snakeskin green so it matches the car.

Well it is a good layout in my mind much better than this thunder road set that classic Induntries sells (looks like a 7 year old placed the gauges)  as you got this nailed... the gauges should be recessed more and perhaps a different gauge face themselves larger for pronounced font... the top needs some straightening up .. good on you bro for thinking outside the box... clean it up and sell it to classic industries
