alignment question

I just put a total new front end in my barracuda. Before I get this thing down from the jack stands, where should I position the upper control arm adjusters to get it to the alignment shop. Obviously I need to be able to drive it and dont want to do a lot of needless damage to my paint around the moon shaped adjuster slots.

front all the way out ward & the raer all the way inward should stand the tire close to straight up , the most important is to set the toe in so it will not scrub the tires , Do not have it aligned to factory specs for bias tires it will steer like crap , max the castor 1/2 degree camber & 1/16" toe will work best

Setting the front adjuster all the way out and the rear all the way in will maximize caster and should put the camber in the ballpark. Caster isn't a tire wearing adjustment, and camber only is if it's REALLY wrong. Toe is the one that will get you on the drive to the tire shop. You can actually put it in the ballpark yourself. Just pick a tire feature (grooves are easiest) and measure across the front and then the rear of the tires (where they contact the ground). You'll want the tires toed in slightly, ideally about an 1/8", so the front measurement should be about an 1/8" less than the rear. More than a 1/4" will cause you issues, even on a short drive.

As for the specs, CP is right on. As much + caster as you can get (probably between +3 to +5), about 1/2 degree negative camber, and about 1/16" to 1/8" toe in.
