It's a 383 4 barrel, 4 speed, ac car.  The ac parts are in trunk but the major pieces all look to be there.

I'd like to make it into a better driver/cruise car. Something I could road trip in.  I love my challenger but over the years previous owners have made it more of a performance car, which is fun but kinda rough for long trips.

Fixing the slop in the shifter is top on my list. I'd likect upgrade the brakes, shocks, replace all the rubber in the suspension, get some ac in it (restore? Vintage air?), front shoulder belts would be nice too, and of course fix all the little crap.

Berkley/Royal Oaks/Troy area.  I think it was technically Berkley (off Woodward near Donut Cutters) but I'm not sure where all the lines are.

PS - I hate Michigan turn arounds....what's wrong with 4 way intersections and left hand turn lanes?!

Special thanks go out to Dave (4Cruizn) and Andy (72cudamaan) who took the time to check out the car and send me lots of pictures before I drove up there.

 :2thumbs:

These are the pictures they took for those who are interested.

Congratulation on the Charger, nice car. I think I saw the car on Autotraderclassic.com, same color and white interior. The Charger lines is very sexy and tough looking in its own way. My most memorable ride back in high school as a passenger was in a black 69 4 spd 426 HEMI Charger. I was glued to the seat when the car pull away from the stop sign, impressive.

BTW, my neighbor down the street has a General Lee look alike with the CB radio antenna and I think he has another one hidden inside the garage that he is working on.

Thanks.  It was on 2 or 3 sites including craigslist.  A few sites had different contact information...for about a week after I found it I couldn't get in touch with the seller.  I wasn't sure if it was a scam, sold, or what.  Eventually I found a number that worked (from Autotrader I think).

General Lee's are cool, but I really like the monochrome paint scheme on a second gen.  I think it really shows off the body lines.  And the pillar-less grill of a 68 or 70 is my personal favorite look.

I actually far prefer turn arounds why stop all of the traffic flow for 1-2 cars when you can just go 1/2 mile further & U turn , makes sense to me

:iagree: Roundabouts are great. Unfortunately, a lot of north americans aren't familiar with their use. :2cents:
