Well guys, I hate to have to do this ... but ... my beauty isn't fun anymore. Her motor has done nothing but piss me off for the last four years.
I don't "need" to sell her but, it would be more comfortable without her.
Here's the details:
1972 Dodge Challenger 340 Rallye
"Slap Stik" shifter
727 Torque Flight transmission
MSD: 6AL ignition, Blaster SS coil and Tach Adapter
Fiberglass Front Fenders
Originally Top Banana, currently Hemi Orange
VIN: JS23H2B347890 (firewall and radiator core support match)
She's in good shape overall. There are only a few things that would make her a perfect "Driver" such as, wiring, window seals, and interior.
There is some bondo on the rear passenger’s quarter. I can tell the car was hit at some point, but she’s not damaged too bad. It’s pushed in about an inch, the body lines are straight.
The wiring harness needs to be replaced, although, it is fully functional.
The gauge cluster needs to be fully re-worked
By the way, Charlene did win First place in the 2011 Belgrade Fall Festival and 2011 University Square car shows in Bozeman, MT in the Muscle Car Class.
I have the .030 over 383 in pieces right now and I’d like to be able to keep it. However, if someone really wants it, I may be willing to let it go too.
The motor:
.030 over 383 (from April 1967)
Edelbrock Performer 750 cfm Electric Choke, Edelbrock Streetmaster 383 Intake Manifold, MOPAR Performance Valve Covers, Summit Racing Valve Cover Hold Down Wing Nuts (ACE Hardware 1.5" 1/4-20 Slot Head Set Screws), Hooker Competition LT Headers, MSD Pro-Billet Distributor, Taylor Thundervolt 50 wires.
I'd like to get $14.5k or best offer.
I have the car with me in San Diego, CA. I'm starting to gear up for my next project, a family heirloom; 1977 Chevy Custom 20 RCLB Forest Service Fire Boss truck (before they turned green). "Red" has a 350, 3 speed, 4x4, 1 ton suspension and a period aluminum topper. She's going to get a full restoration and a few of the upgrades some brush firetrucks had back in the day.
If anyone is interested, send me a PM.
