Does anyone have an opinion on the age that a part needs to be in order to be considered NOS?  The acronym is understood as meaning NEW OLD STOCK.  I have seen parts from the 70's, 80's and 90's selling at a premium and all were advertised as being NOS.  What time duration constitutes being "OLD"?

Maybe I will differ from others as I work at a dealership. Any part that is no longer available new from the manufacturer is considered NOS. Obviously there would be different levels of value based on items such as date codes, shelf wear etc.....
