standard steering ratio

how high is the ratio for manual steering cars!!

my cuda is standard steering, and it takes a full turn on the steering wheel to turn a 90 degree corner.  Seems a bit excessive. 

To make it worse, I put on the fast ratio pitman and idler arms last winter, thinking it would speed up the steering, it does not seem to help.

Guess I am just frustrated, and looking forward to converting to power steering this winter.

I think manual boxes are 24:1, with 20:1 and 16:1 available but not as common.
Power boxes are all 16:1 and with the fast ratio arms you get 12:1
If you need a core I have one here with the large sector shaft? ( it leaks)

A smaller steering wheel will help some too?

That is the plan.

I do have a box lined up.

I have the pump and the right steering shaft.

Just have to find the time to rebuild the steering column, and put it all together.
