Meziere 55 gpm with housing

Has anyone used the 55 gpm Meziere Electric Water Pump (wp306)?  It's for a big block and it includes the water pump housing. I'm curious how you mount your alternator bracket with this housing. Thanks for any advice you offer.

Yes I have used one , I don't have pix but we had to modify brackets to mount the alt in line with the crank pulley & have enough swing to tighten the belt , not much help I know

CVR make a 55gpm drop in setup for the mopar water pump.

Thanks for the help.  I was going to purchase the 45 gpm but Meziere doesn't recommend for high compression street car. I have 12.5:1 Ross pistons. I will look into the CVR.

Has anyone used the CVR pump on a street car?  If so, has it been dependable?

I used the 45 gpm Meziere on my 496 street engine. It could not support cooling in the summer. Went back to
Mopar aluminum housing and mechanical pump.
72 Cuda, owned 25 years. 496, with ported Stage VI heads, .625 in solid roller, 254/258 at .050, 3500 stall, 3.91 rear. 850 Holley DP, Reverse manual valve body.

1999 Trans Am, LS1, heads, cam, headers, stall, etc! Love to surprise the rice rockets with this one. They seem so confident, then it's "what the heck just happened?"

I'm going to go with the Meziere 55 gpm. I think the housing would have to flow better than the stock one. Chryco Psycho does it have a provision for a temp gauge?

You're welcome. In the summer, I was doing some street activities, running between stop lights about 1/2 mile apart.  I was taking it up to
6000 rpm on a run, and if I got caught at a stop light, the electric could not handle the heat that had been generated from the run. It was about
90 out, and I even have an alum radiator.  with an mechanical pump, you are getting much more than 45 gpm I think, because you got your engine at 6000 rpm.
Plus, you are dumping a lot of heat into those aluminum heads.  In cooler weather, the electric did better.  And one time, I blew a fuse for the electric pump, and I had instant steam blowing out of my radiator overflow bottle! Temp zoomed past 230. Immediately shut it off, but was in highway traffic, and barely made it to the side of the road!
After that, went back to mechanical. heck with saving 3 hp!!!!

 I ran a Meziere for a week or two and couldn't keep her cool as I like. Back to mechanical and back to cool.

Always go with the 55gph mez. You won't look back.  The 100 series is for toys n boys.
