Just a heads up to the slow-moving folks like me, there appear to be rooms still available at the Quality Inn. I just booked Friday night only at a pre-pay member's rate of $79.99 though the company's choicehotels.com website.

I'm not pointing any fingers. I'm just telling my life experience. After I lost my mom to cancer after being diagnosed with pancreatic/liver cancer in 6 weeks, I decided to stop saying "some day". My Brother was diagnosed over 1-3/4 years ago and things are now stable with chemo, but who knows. I don't talk about this stuff.
I'm doing the full Hot Rod Power Tour again this year.
We all get our turn, we just don't know when.
Stop putting stuff off, Life is too short!

Man, I got on this thread to see if anyone was booking hotels yet thinking it was early yet. I seem to be a late bird. I camped out in a tent at the campgrounds last year and that was fine with me. It's a lot cheaper than a hotel so I may do that again.

I DO believe that there are still rooms available under our block - from the sounds of it, the hotel didn't place ANY reservations under my name, so it would appear that I still have 17-or-so rooms booked.
