3" wheel studs
« on: November 24, 2013 - 10:26:43 AM »
I need longer wheel studs to fit my new aluminum wheels.  I pressed out my stock studs and the spline diameter is .665.  Stock.  I looked locally and found nobody who carries longer studs.  After a few calls, I found them at mancini racing.  The 3" studs they have are .676 to .683.  Will they fit in my stock axles?  If not. what can I do?  Who carries what I need?  Thanks for any help I can get.

I had the same issue years back when I needed the longer studs for my slicks. At the time I only had access to Moroso studs which were quite a bit larger diameter. After a call to Dutchman Axle they told me those will fit and they will press in, and would do it if I didn't have a press or didn't feel comfortable doing it myself. I had access to a press and did it myself. The first couple were a little scary, I was thinking the flange would crack but had I had no issues. Just make sure the flange is properly supported.

Great!!  Thanks for the info.  I will cancel my order with mancini since I don't want to exert too much force trying to get an oversized lug to fit when I can get the correct size from summit for the same price with easier installation.  Hopefully this will save me some hassle.  Thanks guys.   J
