Another headliner bow question
« on: November 28, 2013 - 09:33:21 AM »
I'm about ready to put my headliner in and I've searched endlessly and couldn't find an answer to this question.  My challenger is a 74, but I have 4 of the early 70-71 bows with straight ends. Is it possible to just get some of the 70-71 cups and use the bows I have? Or am I doomed to searching for the later ones. I'm not exactly sure if I have the right combination anyway. Ive attached pics the colors on each end and the measurements are as follows from top to bottom in the pics.....
47 7/8"
48"
48 1/8"
49 5/16"
I also have an extra one with bent ends that I'm pretty sure, it's not for my car. Because its 62 3/4" long!

Any help is greatly appreciated!   :1zhelp:

I'm sure you can use the bows you have IF you can find the cups to use with them.  Just clip in  the cups and find the best fitting bows that hug the ceiling when clipped in.  Sometimes people sell E-body bows that aren't really E-body bows, so it may be possible that you have to cut off equal lengths on each end of a bow to make it fit.  If these are actual 70-71 bows, it should be easy.

Well,  I looked at some pics and best I could tell,  the cars that used the cups had slits to clip the cups into rather than the holes.  I talked to someone that gave me the idea to just build on the ones have.  Today I welded bends on the ends and they seem to work great.  One question though,  how close close are they suppose to hug the roof?

Thanks Dave!  And by the way, I got the T/A spoiler I ordered from you.  And the extra bank charge dissapeared like you said. Thanks again!

thanks Mike, we have been having these pop up from time to time, some customers are understanding and some are not, I do not know why some banks do and some don't,
