Vinyl top ? Seam?
« on: December 10, 2013 - 06:42:13 PM »
One of my favorite things about restoring this car is that there is so many questions and so much to learn. Getting ready to order my vinyl top, I need one and it's the Christmas season so there are all kinds of sales. Looking at Legendary and when I called to order I was asked the question what seam wide or narrow seam for my vinyl   top. How can I tell what my car came with ? And I got the car the vinyl top was pretty well sun dried and mostly missing no sight of any seams. It's a 70 Challenger RT LA built.  I did have a build sheet but most of it was glued to the floor in the rear and mostly disintegrated I am able to see the style top which was code V 6 W
any way of knowing if it was wide or narrow seemed?

All 70 Challenger's are wide seam. They switched to narrow seam sometime during the 1971 production run. :2cents:
I've taught you everything you know.....but I haven't taught you everything I know !
