Retainers and Bearings. Now What?
« on: December 09, 2013 - 04:27:35 PM »
I will hopefully be able to blast my seat tracks next weekend and  now that my retainers and bearings are alll cleaned up,now what. a few questions.

1) What kinfd of media should I use to blast the tracks? They have been powder coated.

2) after blasting the tracks what kind of priemer should i use?

3) what kind of paint? Color?

4) what kind of grease for the seat tracks?

Thanks

May not be correct but I used Rustoleum primer and satin black for the tracks. For the slides and bearings
I used white lithium grease in a tub. Brush it on instead of the spray on. That way you get a thick coating that
will last longer.
If I cant fix it, it's broke

I would use sand to blast, bare metal primer, and semi gloss paint.
