Need help with where these insulation pieces go
«
on:

I'm in the process of putting the insulation back under the dash of my '70 'Cuda. I've got most of it back in but I neglected to mark down where these three pieces went and can't figure it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated as to where they go.
Thanks in advance.

The pieces go behind the heater box and the drivers side air vent

They are fastened by plastic nails (pins) that push into holes in the firewall.

Those pins are a pain in the butt.
You need to be careful when pounding them in as they break easy, then you get to start all over again.

HP_Cuda, are you sure? I already have insulation pads in those areas and don't see any room for additional pads. Please see attached pics. I was thinking maybe over the access holes to the door hinges in the "A" pillars, see pics?

Check and see if they fit on the back side of the kick panels.

Yeah I went back and looked at mine, they do look like kick panel insulation pieces.
Haven't stuffed mine in yet, have to still stick the dash in.

The larger piece definitely goes behind the passenger kit panel and covers the hold in the A frame where you access the door hinge bolts. When I dug out my driver's side kick panel it already had a insulation pad on the back side to cover the A frame hole on the driver's side so I'm still trying to figure out where the other two smaller pads go.
