Looking for a 70-74 Cuda or Barracuda
« on: January 06, 2014 - 09:48:47 PM »
I'm looking for a 70 to 74 Cuda or Barracuda project. Does not have to be running. Will consider a roller. Don't care about numbers matching. Preferrably a 4 speed car.  I'm looking in the $10k range. I know it's kind of low considering the vehicle I'm trying to acquire, but got to see what I can get for that. Thanks in advance for your help.

Brandon

It's doable, but they go fast so you have to be ready to move - I found mine by watching kijiji / craigslist every day.  Occasionally ebay has them pop up.  Set up alerts on these sites it will help.

:iagree:  I love scoping out the local craigslist for stuff.  Looking for the car is half the fun, IMO.  Can get frustrating when you're fishing for a Cuda and no bites.  Just be patient.  Local stuff is just so much easier as you can go there, touch and feel and such.

I got my Challenger from a local shopping ad book called the Want Ad, before craigslist was popular but it's like a paper version of craigslist.  Check out local newspapers too.  I was on Martha's Vineyard and as obscure as it it being an island, they had some really interesting cars for sale there.  Not Cudas or anything but old Triumphs and such.  Just saying you never know what will pop up where, that's all.

Have fun fishing!

This looked interesting to me. No pictures yet but he's got all the expensive 71 parts already & it sounds like a pretty solid car. I was more interested in the 71 parts then the car myself but it might be worth a look.

I have a 70 GC,  its a 318 auto ac car. It has rubber bumpers, six way seats, console, rim blow steering wheel,  and it a red car with black interior, vinyl top with the grain trim on back window. Just finishing the body work and rust repair. Trunk, new top, trunk to window panel, and quarter panels. The originals had pin holes and was rusty inside out. cut out and soda blasted and sealed.
