I hear Monster Mopar will return the weekend of Sept. 5,6, & 7th 2014 at Gateway Raceway.

Hi Jeff.

Having M-M back here would be great. Where did you get the info from?
Cheers!

IF Gateway would plan on the AUTOCROSS.. then, and only then, would I consider attending... as well as offering my assiatance to run/administer the autocross event.   Otherwise, its just another same-old-same-old show... and ther drag racing doesn't interest me.

Here is the message I got from a guy on facebook.
The original monster Mopar type event is back on for 2014 Sept 5-7 weekend after labor day .
Talked with Scott from s&s promotions and he wants to rally the troops and structure everything the way it originally was $$$$$
I was wanting to let everyone know so we can all support the show with force so it doesn't go away again. He has already stated that most sponsors all back on board but looking for racers and vendors to return with force to help keep this show for another 25 years.

I may possibly attend, regardless, as I have family in the StL area... but again.. an autocross, favorably a med-hi-speed event which I know the site can accomodate, would attract me very strongly... as well as other interested ppl.

I'm not sure where they would put an autocross event? The infield of the roundy round track is used for the swap meet. The other paved area is all pit area for the drag racers. Maybe the area of the infield where Ram Trucks usually sets up a course for truck demonstrations could be done away with and might be big enough for an autocross.

It is NOT Monster Mopar.

This is another show being boycotted.  He's illegally stealing the name to try to bring people back to the show.

It is a long story.  I don't know every single part.  The most up to date is that Mega Mopar show was a complete failure.  So they decided not to try again this year.

The Mega Mopar people were illegally using the name "Monster Mopar" along with Gateway to try to deceive people into thinking it was the same thing.  The only way they stopped was when legal action was brought against them for infringement.

Now this guy, that used to own the Monster Mopar name is trying to do the same thing.  They are trying to drum up support for the show.

It is not with the Monster Mopar series.
