Okay, one last electrical mystery wire question
« on: January 07, 2014 - 10:50:30 PM »
These wires are behind driver side kick panel. They are not for the seat belt wires. i have those identified. Any ideas what they may go to.

Rear speaker for a mono set up?  They run through there, down the rocker panel past the rear seat and then into the trunk.  The same path as the rear lighting harness.

Thats possible. I ran all new speaker wire, straight to the stereo. The old wire would still be inside the old harness, right?

Speakers were run as a separate harness from the tail lights.  They followed the same path but were physically separate.

The harness on the left is the radio harness for a mono set up with a fader, it ran under the dash and then behind the kick panel.   From there the harness on the right ran down the rocker channel and into the trunk.

My vote is for door/dome light switch as well. In my 1970 Service Manual the connectors look the same BUT it says the wires should be yellow and yellow w/black tracer.

Those are the door switch wires.  The DS has two connections...the PS just has one.  You don't have the door switch installed yet in your picture.
