1999 Volvo S70 GLT auto.
I cannot shut the car off while fuelling up at the pump. If I do shut it off it will not start unless I let the car sit for an hour or so after filling.
When fuelling with the car running after about 35 dollars worth of fuel I need to stop or the car starts to run poorly and eventually stalls. This happens before the tank is full.
After the car is fuelled up I have zero issues. Till its time to fill up again.
My initial though is that air is getting trapped in there and vapor locking the fuel system. Is this correct? Is it because I have a clogged fuel tank vent?
The fuel pump, sending unit, injectiors work fine and there is no leaking gas on the ground.
Before I start replacing parts I just wanted to see if any of you folks had different ideas?
Thanks.
