Cragar ss. Back spacing

I'm checking the back spacing on my 70 challenger I think the cragars on the front may be the wrong backspacing because it's hitting the fender on tight turns another problem is the rim has a 215 x 70 x 15 tire on it. What is the correct backspacing to run on the front ?

4.5" works with an 8" wheel.  Mine is 5" with a 9" wheel - 255/40/17 rubber

4" with a 7" wheel, 4.5" with an 8" wheel,  and 5" with a 9.
YMMV due to manufacturing variances.

  Stock 15 X 7's had a 4.5 back spacing....I think if you have 7" or wider you should have at least that.

i've got 14" with 3.375 back space. 225/70/14 BFG tires and i get some rub too. i just figured that was par for the course
