15x6 2.5" or 15x8 3.25" fit
« on: February 11, 2014 - 01:05:32 AM »
Are 15x6 wheels with 2.5" backspace, or 15x8 wheels with 3.25" backspace usable on a Challenger?  Standard fenders, stock rear axle, probably close to stock height or just a little lowered?  Tire size TBD, biggest that will fit with no interference issues given the wheels I end up with...

The type of rims I've been looking for (to match some already on hand) just showed up on ebay but I'm thinking the backspacing is inadequate based on the preponderance of posts here calling out 4 - 4.5".

Thanks.

well, partly moot now; the 15x8 wheels are sold.  Still would be nice to know if some come up in the future

Thanks

No, they would stick out beyond the fender lip. Wouldn't be able to turn up front.

Good, then I won't feel bad for missing them.  I thought they might be off... too bad.
