For some reason there is a 1" difference in the outside of my rear tires, meaning it rubs the fender on one side but not the other. Can I just loosen the u-bolts around my axle and slide it over? 73 challenger 8 3/4 rearend

No. The springs have to sit on the perches and they have a locating dowel. Is this a new phenomenon or has it
always been like this? Welcome to the site by the way.

Virtually every E body is like this , I was very careful to build my diff perfectly so it would be even & it is still out by about 1/2" so either the spring mounts or the body panels are still off
