Steering column wiring

Searched my FSM and can't figure out what the 3 prong connector in the picture goes to.
Any clues?

bump ............... I've read the new switches have extra wires not used on most e-body's, not sure what their for.

My guess is Cruise Control...or maybe ejector seat orrr...missile launcher..Yahh...missile launcher!

I thought so too but this picture is of a column that Jules the Wiperman had just restored and has it listed as
fitting 71-74 e-body. My column is not original to the car and has it. I guess I may just leave it. Would
be kinda cool if it was for a missle launcher though.

The new universal switches have those wires. I usually cut it off at the switch and disregard.

So... Would this make it a 74 E Body column, or a later B Body column?

I'll pop into my car and take a look.

  They are always on new turn signal switches and are not needed

It has to do with the extra turning lights on some of the upscale Chrysler cars like 300s that had a light pointed sideways that turned on with the turn signal, just cut it off

Thanks for the responses guys.    If it doesn't do anything then I don't mind it staying where it is. It's not like it's in the way or anything. I just didn't know if I was missing a portion of harness or not.
