I'm Not Dead!!
« on: April 02, 2014 - 08:57:52 PM »
HEY EVERYONE!!

4C keeps telling me to get on here and say hey and I keep thinking, "Yeah I should do that!...  Oh look a butterfly...."  Stupid ADHD...

I know I haven't been on in a while, but that's not to say that I've forgotten about CCC or Carlisle or anything like that.  In fact, quite the opposite!

I have a 24" x 36" print out of my brewing schedule for this year... ...all Carlisle beers.  That's right...  "ALL" of them...  *winky winky*  Suffice to say, if you're coming to Carlisle this year, Ol' ViperMan's gonna getcha drunk!

I also prepurchased my show field passes... ..MONTHS ago...  That's RIGHT!  So no last-minute planning this year.

Oh10Challenger and I are still ironing out lunch details - if you have any suggestions/requests for Saturday lunch, voice 'em here.  I'm thinking a return to the sausage sandwiches from years past, but 4C also showed me how to make a pretty decent cheesesteak...

We're also bringing our daughter this year!  She'll be roughly 18 months old.  She's already walking fine, she might be talking a little by then, she's so smart is freakin' scary (seriously, the daycare keeps yelling at us about all the stuff she pulls on them already...)  So, this year will be INTERESTING!!

I hope you guys have rooms ironed out.  We're staying at the Quality Inn.  It might not be quality, but it's cheap, and I'm putting money to other good uses this year!  I'll be digging out the Viper next weekend.  SO glad this stupid miserable winter is finally over!

Hope everyone is doing well.  Feel free to drop me a line.  I'm sorry I haven't been around, but I'm never too far away.  I just have so little to offer the overall ebody community these days that I don't bother getting on here and wasting everyone's time.  :)  But another Cuda is still in the plans...   Someday...  Someday.  :)

Can't wait to see everyone!!  It's gonna be a great year!!!!

Heh,

You better still be alive so I can get that pass for a beer tasting next month.   :poopoke:

So being that you are Dad and all, maybe a large plate of assorted lunch meats with buns, and cheese would be easier for you?

Huh...Mike apprently you have never had kids.  :stirpot: The easyest thing for him to do would bring baby bottles and baby food jars.  :violin:  :roflsmiley:  :smilielol:

PFF - Viper is the only good car still running in the fleet!

Well that's not entirely true - the Challenger is doing well.  Starting to nag me about some maintenance needs - new brakes, has a light rattle up front that I think is a brake shield...  Could be worse.  Of course then there's the body damage thanks to two idiots in a parking lot...   :hyper:

...AND I can't afford the insurance deductibles because every time I spend $400 on the Volvo, something else worth $400 breaks!!!

 :bricks1:

But the beer is good!!!

Andy, I'm liking the cheesesteak idea - just not entirely sure how we're going to make that work.

Jeff,

How many miles on the Challenger? My '09 started to make a racket at about 50K miles. I replaced the right front pads(super easy), and it shut it's mouth.     The thing is, there must of been 50K more miles   on those pads.    :clueless:

Do the 6 cylinders suck water and break rods like the 5.7 hemis. I been reading about those running crappy in wet weather then throwing a rod a day or 2 later. Something about the cowl draining towards the intake and filling the cylinders when the intake loses it's seal.

The 6 cylinder engines are built way better than those $hitty Hemi's.    :stirpot:

Seriously, this is the first I've heard about this.    :dunno:

This video show a Durango leaking water right onto the engine. The engine sucks in water then throws rods.

Google it.

Water leaks onto all engines in heavy rain, now if you try and ford higher water then it gets sucked into the intake and is not a warrantable repair.

Cars have been getting rained on for decades. It seems like the new hemis are getting a reputation of sucking more than they should, then breaking apart with low miles on them.

Just do a quick search and see what comes up.

Not to hijack viperman, I'm glad you are still alive.
