What is the determining factor?  I can't tell the difference.
Maybe I just haven't looked hard enough.

It's NOT a 71 :stomp: :smilielol:

Does it matter? Isn't much of anything salvageable on that hulk ... the left hood hinge? And that's a "maybe"! I think is is a "70-done!" as it's finished and ready to be crushed and sold for scrap!

And that cream colored '74 Challenger ... that driver's side fender looks like it was blasted by over and over by a shotgun! Don't think I have ever seen a fender rust out like that before.

The 71 does appear to have a consolette headliner that has fallen down.  Am I seeing things.
Looks like black material hanging from the roof, and a cardboard like material with jute maybe laying on top of everything on the kind of interior.
Wouldn't that hole in the rear panel be an ashtray?

It also looks like there is a wood grain stripe on that rear panel.

Isn't there  a way to tell what year it is by the hood latch support that is on the radiator support?  I don't know the differences though..

Hey Josh, It has a standard vinyl roof lining in it buddy. You can see the material and one of the roof liner wire braces hanging down, the steel hard side trim is making you think it is a hard lined Gran Coupe roof liner, but not the case in this situation my friend :grinno: :2thumbs:

That and the wiper motor, the rear interior panel looks to have a hole for the seatr belt like in 1974, etc...

Front bumper has been changed, along with the wiper motor.

Hole in rear panel appears to be the bezel for an ashtray, making it an earlier production '71.

'71-only primary hood release is there, hood hinges appear to be '71s (though my eyes could be playing tricks on me).

Belt moulding present - so GC or 'Cuda likely.

Disc brake car too....

But rusty.  I had a gold '71 383-4 Gran Coupe that broke into 3 pieces when lifting it out of the field.  But even that was nowhere near as rusty as the car pictured here.
