Did you get a floor cutting template with it?  We had to go back a take out more than the template showed. The holes for mine are on this page.  Wish I had more.

I'm installing it in an original 4 spd car so there won't be as much cutting involved. I was kind of looking for pictures of the provided template installed.

Here's my problem: I ordered and paid for the Tremec kit from American Powertrain....They told me four weeks, it's been twelve.  :pullinghair: The body shop wants to paint the car now....I was thinking of having them change the floor without trial fitting the transmission only to keep things moving....YES...I know it's a gamble.

They have a believable excuse,  :dunno: and I'm very patient, but my body shop wants to get moving....and I don't blame them... :banghead:
12 weeks is crazy... :swear:

Ok, time for me to chime in ... Alan, better hold me back!!!  Anyway, i ordered my complete profit kit incl the tko 600 around the same time as Alan, and while my tranny finally arrived last week, still waiting on some parts. Eg bell housing.  They told me on Friday they will replace the bell housing with a quick time version that sells for more and that is in stock and will ship to me this week.  I am installing this kit into a 73 cuda, factory auto car.  I've already cut the first hole out of the tunnel to fit the amd hump conversion.  Hopefully have install pics in a couple weeks assuming that bell housing arrives thus week.  You can see progress in my build thread, search 'project sassy'.  Stay in touch with how your build goes.  Cheers

Call them up and request one.  I know they have them because I just sent them to them.  If no luck - I can send you one.  Let me know.

Don't be afraid of the quick time.  It's a quality item.  They manufacture there own big block bell housings and get the small block cast  bells from Hurst.  Both are very nice pieces.

Will the Tremec  TKO fit into an Ebody, originally a 4 speed? I have heard; yes, no, and maybe. I have one (the last one Keisler shipped) and will be fitting it next month; after my car comes out of paint.
1963 Dodge M37 (3)
1967 Dodge WM300 (2)
1971 Plymouth Duster
Bought new in '71; I wanted the Challenger but they were $2850; too much $ so I got the 318, 3 speed on the floor, Twister Duster for $2100.
1973 Plymouth Barracuda
I ain't done yet.

You could have fitment issues, hard to say.  The American powertrain kit ships with a tunnel mod, but the manual says it may not be necessary.  Sorry I can't more specific.  All the reading I've done suggests people have had to make some mods to get it to fit and address drive angle.

Good to know, thx.  Right now I'd take a housing made of paper mâché!!! :-)
