727 transmission switch
« on: April 15, 2014 - 02:37:36 PM »
I have a the older transmission that uses the single wire neutral switch but have the 3 wire plug on the car for the back up lights. I put a new switch in with the 3 wires. It fit fine and the neutral switch worked about 10 times, the reverse lights stayed on all the time. Anyway I understand there are 2 different linkage setups that go up into the transmission with different detents. Does anyone know if these linkage rods with the detents are interchangeable??
Thanks
Tom

not being a 727 expert I believe the arm or the valve body can be swapped so it will match up , the single wire arm is totally different & does work the 3 prong switch as you found out
