I'm starting to rethink this one from under the battery area since front end damage to the car could take it out and I have a HVC II Coil I need to mount just behind the horn area so putting it on the firewall might make sense. I'm also thinking that under rainy conditions the box would get more wet than up on the firewall.

Thoughts?

I went under dash inside car.  Areas on firewall could get really hot from my headers.
Keeping it cool is the most important thing.

Nother possibility is inside the cowl area near the wipers, but could get wet there.
