Need a few questions answered to get my cuda running

Hello all,

This winter I started the rewire of my car. I also am putting in Vintage Air.

My first question is, on a 440, which is the output on the water pump and which is the input?  This is for Heater hose connections.  I know which go to the radiator.

Second,

My windows fell out of the track when I would roll them down.  I ordered a kit with the rollers to fix this.  The drivers side is now fixed and working great.  The passenger door has a different sized channel for a window track. It is much too wide and the replacement parts are sloppy inside of it and still fall out.  Is this the right/wrong channel for a 74 barracuda?  I know I helped a friend with his windows (70 cuda) and he had a different style. Is there any easy fix, or do I need to order different rollers/ different channel for that door?

I think you answered your own ?
 the track is too wide & the rollers fall out , must be mismatched parts , something has to be the wrong part

Yep...different width tracks through-out the years..You can get away with just switching the front track.

Heater hose orientation doesn't matter...

Thanks guys.  I know the parts were wrong in the windows, I just didn't know what parts were easier to get. The window kits are like $75 per window!  Are tracks easier to find/cheaper?

Also, forgive my ignorance, but why would heater hose orientation not matter?  Is one not flow into the car and the other flow back out?  I only ask because I have a valve I have to put in for the vintage air and it says put it on one side or the other(sorry I forget and am at work).  Is there a way to check flow direction before I install the valve?

basically the engine pumps water out through 1 hose through the heater core & it returns though the second hose so neither the engine or heater core cares , the inline valve may be another issue though .

Yes, sorry...my answer was directed towards a stock application....I don't know what's required for the VintageAir set-up.
