1972 dodge challenger voltage limiter
« on: May 30, 2014 - 10:14:08 PM »
So when I went to start my car today I saw smoke coming from the voltage limiter.  So i started the car and my fuel, temp, and oil gauge didn't work.  I replaced it with another limiter I have.  I put it in and then I noticed my Volt started going from center to need charge back and forth.  After trouble shooting it is down to I remove the temp gauge out of the system and the Volt goes to normal but the oil and fuel max out.

Make sure the gauge is isolated from the dash frame , there are fiber insulators in there to prevent it touching the frame
