Well, you've gotta give the guy credit for at least paying attention and actually doing something about it. Good on you Ray

Thank you jimynick. We're doing our best to keep our finger on the pulse of the hobby. Being a sponsor of this forum is one of the ways we are able to achieve that.

In response to tman's question, Yes, Spectra is also a manufacturer of fuel tanks.

@KillerBee: The original poster received a full refund for the product and his return shipping in accordance with our 100% Satisfaction Guarantee policy. And, while it is true that the new alternate item has a lower retail price, it is also completely different in construction and it is these differences in raw material costs and labor that most likely affects the pricing of these products and causes one item to be priced lower than the other.

We will be communicating with Spectra about this issue with fit and hopefully they will be able to correct their all-aluminum heater core. Until then, we now have a more OE style heater core for any E-Body owner seeking a suitable replacement from Classic Industries. I am attaching some images here of the new item for informational purposes. We welcome any feedback from the community. If we can be of any further assistance to forum members, please feel free to PM me here at cuda-challenger.com.

:iagree:  This is the kind of response I like to see from a company.

Now if we could get the OP to step up and acknowledge that Classic did resolve the issue (hopefully to the op's satisfaction)
then we could put this issue to rest. Thank you Classic Industries for the customer satisfaction and for being a
sponsor of our great site.
If I cant fix it, it's broke

I too appreciate Classic responding to the issue.   A lot of companies would not take the time to get involved on an open forum.  Guts and good customer support.  Great step to getting a good feel with the members.

 :iagree:

This company does good follow up in my past experience.
Recently I needed something ASAP and wanted CS to reply a tracking and deliver by a Friday.

They did and sent me e-mails confirming arrival ETA.
They shipped it out fast to ensure it made it by then.

Should be no mystery to anyone why firms such as Costco, Nordstrom, Summit Racing, Amazon(usually), Cross Pens, etc are successful and profitable. Unfortunately there are far more numerous firms that have yet to understand this basic fundamental of success,,,and likely never will,,,as they wonder why others are so "lucky" as they see their businesses grow and prosper and they themselves slowly wind themselves to the ashcan of history.

We've all had our share of bad experiences,,,,,and are likely to share them, just as we will our excellent ones.

Today I ordered some 250.00 worth of parts for my 70 E Body from a well known Mopar supplier.  Likely total weight was less than 5 pounds. Was hit with a shipping charge of 25 bucks to ship 400 miles to my home,,,will take 1 week or longer to arrive,,,plus Calyfornua sales tax,,,,plus 2.50 for handling.

Last week had to return an oil pan(unused and unopened as decided to upgrade to Road  Race pan instead) which with packaging weighed in at 14 pounds. Shipped to address some 300 miles away by UPS ground at a charge to me of 10.13 dollars. This oil pan when shipped to me was delivered within 24 hours after order at no shipping charge, no sales tax(granted that Calyfornua vendors are sucked dry by competition from out of state competition and this states usury tax system) and given 90 days to return if needed,,,,with no debate as to why being returned. I admit that this is quite excessive customer accommodation,,,,,but folks this is the new real world out there.  And if you hope to succeed you got to understand your customers( we all are at times and live and buy using pretty much the same criteria;  price, quality, reputation, service, value) and these rules.
