With radio removed any wiring mod required?
« on: June 27, 2014 - 01:21:48 PM »
I have read that some of the wiring plugged into the factory radio needs to be connected in order for all the interior light to function correctly.  With the radio out, should I be joining wires in the connectors to allow current to pass through to other locations in the interior wiring?

Never heard of that, although I decided to wire my aftermarket radio directly to a constant hot terminal on the fuseblock. I am not using any of the OEM radio wires and have not had any issues with my interior/ dome light.

 :iagree:
nothing passes through the radio , just terminates at the radio so with the radio out everything should be working OK
