Car names....
« on: September 29, 2003 - 05:58:01 AM »
This topic has probably already been done but.....What do you people name/call your cars if you do at all? Myself I don't call it anything but it has the name "The Dodge" from friends and family. Until I have some kind of crazy adventure or something like that and the name comes from that I'm happy with The Dodge. I was kind of thinking Lucy because she was the first girl I ever felt weak in the knees for I was only 9 but hey. After driving a Big Block when ever I hop out my legs feel weak, I'm sure you know what I mean.

NZ, that is a great story!  You should definately call her Lucy.  As for us, when we first got her, my brother had a 68 Charger and we always parked together at cruise-ins.  His Charger was a burgandy color, very close to ours.  So we named our cars Sheena (Charger) and Xena (Challenger).  Sheena has since been sold and Xena just doesn't work anymore, so we're looking for a new name.  I'm sure during the rebuild it will come to us.

No not boring........I often refer to my car as "The Dodge" or "Challenger" or "R/T" They do sound the best because when you call them "Lucy" or what ever people don't know what your've been smoking at least when you say one of the above they know you have taste  and power to boot ;)

Only named my first Challenger (73 Rallye w/318 auto). I always called it TVC15. I was a big Bowie freak and it seemed lke a good personal tag too. The 73 i'm gathering parts for now is the same color combo (wh/wh/GY3 honey gold) so it will be TVC15 also until i sell it. I'm taking your advice, PG but not until the engine is rebuilt in my truck. Gotta have some kind of MOPAR to drive.  ;D
