ERTL doesn't seem to get do scale cars very well anymore. Especially the Mopars..

(I've collected hundreds of 1/18th cars)..

Just today I bought the ERTL American Muscle series 1/18 Vanishing Point Challenger model.

The detail is not great but the "sprit" of the car is not bad with the brown desert dirt stains all over. It looks OK when viewed from a pace or two back. It cost $99 AUD which is about $69 US.

Cheers SoS
I'm not automotively predjudiced I just prefer the best.

Cool isn't it.  I bought one as soon as I noticed it also.  I want to get a couple of the Phantasm cars also.  One to keep, and one to strip, chop off the top, paint the interior black, and the exterior FE5 Red.  I made a model of my Challenger convertible from the Orange 1970 ERTL with R/T hood.  Its a contvertible Vanishing Point clone now.  The Phantasm Cuda is the only Cuda model I seen with the Rallye hood.  But does it have the Rallye wheels...?

"big article in MCG when 2 came out"

I love hollywood B-movies but these movies need a new
writer. They just chase each other around and every
once in a while one of those flying thingeys comes out
and sucks your brain out.
Cool cars and special effects but nothing ever seems to
happen
