What does everyone think about this?

Worth it?

Is it ruining classic coupes and ht's?

 :o Ooops,
You may have opened a can of worms here. There was a post about this subject in the not too distant past. Most thought it was a bad idea. You just don't cut up old E-bodies.

I could think of a lot of other ways I'd rather spend $10,000 on my car...I could buy a hemi, or repaint the car and get all new interior...I don't know, it just feels wrong.

I have a 71 grand coupe barracuda.. I may do this with.. was gonna sell it, but this is too enticing.  In my opinion the grand coupe would just be cloned to a cuda anyway. You don't see folks restoring 318 grand coupes.

Well, these guys are just contributing to price increase of the 318 barracudas imo.

Do you think you'll be able to recoup your money?  They say "$10,000 downpayment" and rest of the money to be payed when complete.  So, how much are they really charging?

imo, yes that is definitely destroying a coupe to have a convertible. In the end it's 'caveat emptor'. Whatever you decide, get things in writing. The devil's always in the details.

 ;) Hey DL74cuda,
Don't worry about it. This is something to chew over. I really do think the price is outrageous. Like Rev said, that money could be better spent somewhere else. I sure would rather have a Hemi than a ragtop, but that's just me. Unfortunately, on my budget, neither is a reality :'(  Hey, is anyone here going to go and try this on their car???

I have to agree with what everyone's saying.  It'd be different if the car had been in a major accident and needed a new roof and A-pillars, & etc., but not an extremely nice R/T 383 or anything not needing any major accident repairs.  Save the cutting for the millions of Camaros and Rustangs out there; not the limited supplied E-bods.

Modifying a car to ones taste is no big deal as long as it can be easily converted back.I don`t like seeing nice clean e-bodies hacked up like that.  :(
