MY tti system came with the Dynamax Super Turbo.  They are not loud but has a very good tone when you get on it.  Of course, my opinion.  I myself do not like it to be too loud all the time.  Try out their site and listen to their sound bites.  I think your current system sounds good and very deep.  But I can see it will get loud.

Thanks, great link! Nice to be able to compare the models. That Super Turno seems to be a good choise for me, you don't have anything in the back in addition to those?
Do you, (or anyone), know if the Super Turbo is quieter than the Flowmaster 50 series?

Found both a 14" and a 20" version of the Super Turbo at Summit with 2,5 connections and the correct in and outs.

Nope nothing in the back.  When the tti system was bought, it included the Super turbos.  tti then has straight pipe where the round muffs go.  You probably purchased the tti w/o the muffler.  If you do buy with muffler, you get the super turbos.

In case you decide on Dynomax muffler, go to the TTI site, look up your exhaust system, then click on "view."  There is a diagram there that will list the correct Dynomax muffler part # for your application.  I don't have the answer for the sound of Flowmaster 50's.  I like their sound overall, but I think they tend to be louder.  Look up Flowmaster and Dynomax on You tube, there should be lots of sound clips.

OK, its the 14" model 17733, I'm gonna go ahead and order those, gonna listen to some Youtube clips first, they are inexpensive so if I'm not happy with them its no big deal, since I'm already on my third try here    Thanks, great help!

I have this system and really like it. Not too loud at idle and cruising, but gets louder when your on it. Perfect for me as I don't like them too loud.

Not sure if this kit has the same muffler as you posted though?  :dunno:

I have the same exhaust kit you have, and I have the mufflers mounted in front of the axle. I've never considered it too loud, but I guess that is up to the individual. So I downloaded a db meter app for my samsung s4 and tried it out in my car. I got 79 to 80 db when idling in the garage. I don't know how accurate the app is?
But if it is anywhere close to accurate, you must have another issue other than the exhaust system kit. Maybe the old rusty headers contribute to the problem? Does the 'X' pipe get close to the driveshaft? Headers rubbing on the torsion bars?

80dB's in a garage is low, usually it measures higher in a garage because of reflections from the walls. My car measures 100 dB (C) on idle 4 ft behind the car outside (not in a garage) , 96 dB inside the car, measured with a proffessional dB meter. The app probably uses dB (A) weight, this is a filtered mode that cuts heavily in the bass and treble area. If I measure with dB (A) I get 85 dB behing the car, and 85 dB inside also on idle. I got an SPL app on my iPhone also, and it is pretty good. I do believe my headers are a big problem here, since the inside is almost equal to being right behind the car in noise level, don't see any contact with the body anywhere though.
