Talked to Milodon today and they seemed very helpfull and knowlegable about the pan. Said I would have to raise the motor and lower the k member to sort of roll the pan into position. To much work for me and not convienient if you want to pull the pan to check on things or replace a rear main seal. So will be putting the stock one back on.
Gosh, how often do you check things or change the seal? Rear seals last years when done right, and bearings last 10's of thousand of miles, when the engine is built right. I say install it and get it done, unless it will interfere with speed bumps. If your needing more oil capacity, then by all means install it. Just unhook your engine mounts from the K member, either use a jack on the balancer or use an engine puller, lift it up and install the pan. Remember to use all your ppe and safey equipment, the come back here, so you can say been there, done that for the next person that has this simple issue and explain what you had to do
