Ok new price guys getting title and then vin plate vin inspection has been done and all necessary paperwork just waiting on title. Now $6500 OBO.. If it doesn't sell I will continue to buy parts for it such as the qtrs, gilled fenders etc. and the price will keep going up.

Take it from someone who has been there many times. If you have no intention of completing the project don't buy any more parts for it. The more the price goes up the less likely it is to sell.

yep I have been watching a 70 charger increase in value for 2 years on the local craigslist now. It will sell once you have a clean title in your name. I would be interested if I was closer but as I recall youre in the midwest

I would be interested in trading for a 69 charger shell, 71 Challenger project, or 70 RR/satellite shell.

Just to update you guys about this 71 barracuda project..... I tried calling this guy several times and get a message from the phone company that the number is temporarily disconnected or no longer in use. Only when I email him through this site ,do I get a response. Asked for more pics and the status of him getting a title for the car and have received no response after several email requests over the last 2 weeks. I have expressed strong interest in buying the car,but after the lack of response, I am really starting to wonder about the legitimacy of this car and it's seller. I don't understand why some people place ads to sell a car and are so flaky when it comes to providing information to facilitate it's sale. I guess the attitude in the description of the ad should have told me all I needed to know about the seller.

Might be the reason for acting flaky to be a sign of hiding from knowledgeable people. Looking for a sucker. A flaky seller or a flaky car.
Something ain't right when they are ready to sell but once legit questions come up, they seem to vanish.

I'm just trying to find a solid 1971 6 cylinder or 318 barracuda project at a decent price,and this sounded like a good one that I could work with. Not afraid to tackle some sheetmetal replacement,but when you don't feel comfortable with a seller that has spotty communication,you can't move forward.  Anyone have any leads for me? I've advertised in the wanted section here,but didn't get much for replies other than cars that were too far gone. I'm willing to do trunk,floorpan,and quarter replacement,but I don't want to get into a project with framerail,cowl or rocker rust through.

This is a real 71 Cuda 340 w/ 4 speed in a good color. I would probably buy something like this instead. It needs a lot but will be worth a lot more in the end.

That's a good deal on the one posted above. Doesn't say what all is missing so could add up quick on you but a good starting point

Most of it is missing but the numbers engine, trans, and build sheet are there. I think he had the fender tag reproduced from the build sheet. I have more photos of it and it actually looks pretty solid. This car was for sale here a couple years back and was bought by a member here. He hasn't had time to get to it so is trying to sell it. I was thinking of buying it and sitting on it for a future project but have been crazy busy and can't really justify it right now,
