    440 source Alum heads
    mopar purple .509 lift 272 dur
    Edelbrock 650 thunder
    Edelbrock dp intake
    MSD6AL ignition
    MSD pro billet distributor
    mopar purple cam
    727 torque flight
    8 3/4    3.91 ratio

    seems the carb may be holding you back
    I nice Holley 750 double pumper, dialed in, for that set up.
    If mine, would also install a single plane intake.

    72 Cuda, owned 25 years. 496, with ported Stage VI heads, .625 in solid roller, 254/258 at .050, 3500 stall, 3.91 rear. 850 Holley DP, Reverse manual valve body.

    1999 Trans Am, LS1, heads, cam, headers, stall, etc! Love to surprise the rice rockets with this one. They seem so confident, then it's "what the heck just happened?"

    I do have a holley sitting on the shelf, but for cruising the edelbrock is nice.  Spent more time tuning and fixing leaks on the holley. Plus no choke.

    Also not sure what feedback you're looking for.  Will say I ran a very similar setup in my 70 Roadrunner back in the 70's and it ran VERY strong.  I'll bet my cam might have been a touch better, but I only had massaged 906 heads so you definitely have me there.  Same intake with a either a 625 cfm Carter AVS similar to your Edelbrock or a 780 CFM Holley, when I wasn't running a sixpack on the car that is.  Up to a certain RPM it probably ran best with the Carter, when they were running right definitely the sixpack for racing.

    No real Questions, lol.  Just wanted to post the combo. It seems a lot of people have reservations on the 440 heads.  I know i did.  But after getting a $900 quote on my 906 heads I took a chance.

    I've heard mostly good things about the 440Source heads so much so I bought a cnc'd set to go on the Roadrunner either on the 383 or 440 strokers.  leaning strongly to just stroking the 383 since the driveline is all original in a 44 year old car.   Plus, my goals for the car have changed from street/strip to just an extemely quick cool old cruise car.
