Made it home without any problems here. The weather was wacky but the Cuda ran like a top.  :burnout: Now I'm relaxing in AC  :woohoo:

Just pulled in, 84 was shut down at exit 16 and so we had to make our way around on the back roads, and then there was a back up on the Mass Pike as usual.

The weekend was terrific. A big Thank You to Jeff and Ashley and Dave (4C) for all the organizing they do so we can all enjoy a great time catching up with friends.

'til we meet again

Yep - all is good.       I think this was the year of the Alternator.

I just crossed into Vermont with about 50 mils to go on a 2 lane road and heard a terrible clunking......   Opened the hood and the top Alternator bolt had sheared at the block, the alternator was still working (bottom bolt and belt held it on) but the broken bolt had worked its way towards the fan and was clipping it.......

It was dusk, raining and I didn't think I could make it the rest of the way without the alternator (as I needed both wipers and lights).   So, looked in my bag of spare "stuff" and thought I might be able to use a small screw-type radiator clamp to hold the bolt in place so it wouldn't "work" its way back towards the fan again.    Damn thing wouldn't hold though.. So I then I found a small vice grip and then used another larger clamp to help ensure it wouldn't snap off.    Drove the last 50 miles much slower...... but made it       The Fan blade has a few chips and will have to drill out and replace the bolt..... but all it all .....

It was just a Terrific Weekend.

Many thanks to everyone -- my first time to Carlisle -- and it was a pleasure to meet everyone!

Glad to do it Brad. That's what this group does, we help each other.

Awesome weekend, great meeting everybody. It's truly incredible how a group of people who mostly have never met each other can come together for a weekend and act like we've all been friends since forever.
In search of the eternal buzz!

Glad to hear people made it home safely. We chugged home nice and slow, van did fine until we stopped for breakfast. I curbed the trailer and lost a tire outside allentown. Thankfully ntb was close and open. Cost a few $ but it got us home. Oh yeah we got stuck in the car fire traffic, and then the detour traffic. Finally the mass pike traffic. 6 hour drive only took 11 hours Lol.

Brad, glad you made it okay!!  Hope you can get your alternator sorted out quickly!

Holy moly!!   :22yikes:

Glad you got home okay at least!  Sounds like it shouldn't be TOO bad of a fix.
