In case you missed it, Andy's Cuda made Carlisle
« on: July 14, 2014 - 07:54:45 AM »
In case you don't frequent the Carlisle forum on this site, I wanted folks to know that Andy's Cuda made it to Carlisle.  It's still not running quite yet, and still needs a few things like brake parts and such, but Andy's wife, daughter and one of their sons made the trek this year.

I know it wasn't easy on them, but we were so glad to see them, and the car!

I'll bet Andy spent all weekend in it... ;)

I was thinking about this over the weekend. I'm sure glad it made it down. Are there any plans to finish the car?

Talking with his son I asked what would be done with the car.
He said they would finish it & drive it like they stole it!   :burnout:

Stuff like this is why I'm glad I associate with this club.
Yes I own a 1972 Dodge Challenger Convertible T/A S/E with a 440 Six Pak. Can it get any more wrong?

Oh yes - Dan Zimmerman has continued to be a big help, and of course this club and it's fantastic members have donated thousands of dollars in parts to help Andy's family finish the car.

At the show, Doug (Andy's youngest son) was hitting the swaps looking for some last minute finds, including a starter and a linkage for the brakes (I couldn't tell you which one, specifically.)

I suspect we'll see footage of that nasty 440 firing up within the next few weeks, and the car being driveable by the fall, hopefully!

We were all very pleased to see the car at the show as this was one of Andy's last wishes . . . I know he was there in spirit!   :angelwings:
