Light weight hood springs ??

Anyone know where I can find some lightweight hood springs for my TA fiberglass hood ??

Any vendors or sources that have these ??

i got mine from resto rick.....however just finished putting on my t/a hood from stinger firberglass (aar fibreglass) hood still bowed within a day or two, took the springs off completely and using a hood prop rod now.

I saw a lot of TAs and AAR at Carlise and took note of their springs
I might try VFN for some springs if they have them
Too bad AAR doesn't have them.

    don't waste your money, mine bowed too!  I bent up a simple prop rod that goes in the existing holes in the hinge .
 

There are more than one manufacturer of the springs for the T/A hood. I tried them both, none of them worked, they didn't hold up the hood very well and bowed the hood

Based on a tip I read about on here, I used trampoline springs (10" long) that I bought on eBay for 5 bucks.  I would either try that or the prop rod first.

Just some follow up.....
I ended up getting the light weight hood springs from Year One ( for the Challenger TA hood )
They worked out great with the TA hood I am using from AAR Fiberglass......no bowing issues,,,,FYI

Anyone using a spring in the front to help pop open the hood a little?  I know you are supposed to lift the hood from the base corner under the scoop, but seems like a lot of stress until I can get my hand under the front to help lift the hood.

I used a springs from a metal futon bed with my AAR VFN fiberglass hood. Works perfect and they have been on there 7 years now. Holds hood right up. Original brackets and 2 springs on each side taken from one futon bed. the all metal kind college students usually use.
