Hemi Orange Metallic with painted bumpers?
« on: July 14, 2014 - 08:55:47 PM »
I was dead set on painting my 73 black until carlisle...then I fell in love with hemi orange metallic, specially the rennecker 70 convertible, wow.

Does anyone have any pics of a 72-74 (70-71 for reference will do also) with a blacked out front and rear header panels, hemi orange with painted bumpers? That's the scheme I'm thinking about but haven't seen. There's a member here 422stroker with a very similar concept that I love, basically looking for his car with painted bumpers.

Hope he doesn't mind me posting a pic of his car:

Looks awesome, thanks!

How do you think it'd look with the front header panel blacked out like 422stroker's car above? I'm also leaning toward an rt hood.

I've never seen one of these styles with a blacked out header that I didn't like... I've wondered if Dark Argent wouldn't look even better with some colors.
Whatever I'd black out everything behind the grill, the one thing in this example that I see would definitely improve the look.  :2cents:
